Prague was beautiful, similar to Edinburgh, with narrow streets and magnificent monuments. However, it had more color, literally, as the buildings were colorful, and more youthful energy… The city buzzed with young people aged 15-22, who appeared quite young to be there alone or in small groups. While the legal drinking age in Czechia is 18, I guess ID checks are rare.
At night, the city became busier, with clubs, casinos, strip clubs, and parties flooding the streets. Prague had an edgy vibe and you noticeable its homeless population. The presence of erotic shops led to interesting conversations with the kids, but it’s not a place I would go with my family. Perhaps it would be suitable for a guys trip, although even that may not be appealing anymore at my age…
Prague was a character in itself, and it helped me understand Pastrnak, who is also a character. I suppose we are all products of our environments in some way. It is a fun place to have some fun, but I wouldn’t want my daughter to date them…
Prague, you may see my son and his crazy friends one day; be good to them and keep them on the good side of trouble, if that’s possible.

July 30, 2024Haha…when we were there we didn’t see any of that side of Prague but one of our guides during one of our tours of the city said..’when the Russians were here you never seen a homeless person..they all had a job to do’..that stuck with me. Thanks for the Prague blog. 👍❤️
