Vietnam: Banh Mi

Did you know that Vietnamese food is one of the best foods I have ever had. We were in Vietnam for 2 weeks. We stayed in Hoi An for 10 days and then Ha Noi for 4 days. We ate a lot of delicious Vietnamese food, experienced lots of Vietnamese culture, and saw all the beautiful nature and old towns in each city.

Vietnam has a lot of culture. They have a lot of historical roots and they show their culture everyday even with lots of tourism. Being in their culture everyday can show you all the things they do and can let you be a part of their culture. Some of the culture in Vietnam we experienced like their language, their music, and customizing things. We tried using their language when it came to saying hi and goodbye. It is hard just to start learning their language so we used simple Vietnamese. We also listened to their music on the streets all the time. Their music is really nice and catchy. One of the best things about Vietnam is to customize things. I got custom birkenstocks and also custom clothes. It’s really cool to get to tell them what you want and they can make it in just a few days. I know that was one of the cool things about Vietnam. Another thing we did in their culture was go to their temples. You have to cover your shoulders and knees, but it’s cool seeing inside their culture and religion. Lots of Vietnamese people have an altar at their house where they burn incense and offer food to honor deceased families. They don’t just do it on holidays, it is part of their everyday practice. Their culture can be one of the things that make you want to go to Vietnam to experience these things.

One of my favourite things that I would go back to Vietnam for is their food. Their food is so fresh and delicious. My top 3 favorite foods were Beef Pho, Binh Ma, and Fried Wontons. Beef Pho is rice noodles with broth and vegetables. Binh Ma is a delicious sandwich with fresh ingredients with chicken. Fried Wontons are wontons that are fried and delicious. We ate Vietnamese food everyday and everyday it was so good. If you like Asian food you need to go to Vietnam. I miss their food so much. Another thing that is really good is their coffee. It’s so good and sweet, just the way I like it. Did you know that Vietnam loves coffee and will drink it with yogurt and eggs. It’s the second largest coffee producer. Did you also know that Vietnamese people eat Pho for breakfast. All their food is delicious and I can’t wait to go back to Vietnam to try their food again. If you’re a big foodie like me you should for sure try booking a flight to Vietnam.

Vietnam is so full of natural beauty and is stunning. We went to Old town in Hoi An , Ha Long Bay, and Old town in Ha Noi. Old town in Hoi An was really pretty. It had a lot of Historical beauty and the streets were beautiful. I loved the lanterns that were down every street. Old town at night is gorgeous and busy. The canal is full of lanterns floating in the water and there are a lot of boats in the water. It can be busy but it’s a really cool experience. We even biked around the old town. Old town Hoi An was really pretty and full of history. Old town in Ha Noi was not as beautiful but an experience. It was full of people and was always busy. The busiest part was at night when the night market was on. It was super busy but the markets had lots of stuff and souvenirs. One of the best natural beauties was Ha Long Bay. We went on a night cruise. The cruise was old but it was perfectly fine. Ha Long Bay consists of 1,600 islands that were formed 500 million years ago. It is a major tourist attraction. The water is full of cruises. The cruises usually have things to do like kayaking, fishing, and hiking. The view was gorgeous. We went kayaking in the islands. It was really beautiful and super fun to kayak because I’ve never done it before. If it was just the 2 of you I would probably get a fancy boat cause the older boats are pretty old and dated . Ha Long Bay was really pretty but one thing that was a bit sad was that it was full of garbage. The water had so much garbage. It is such a beautiful landscape but then the water and shore are full of garbage. That was the only bad thing about Ha Long bay. The beauty of Vietnam is amazing. How could you not want to go to Vietnam?

I think Vietnam was amazing. I don’t think I realized that until I look back at it. Everyone was so nice and I loved being able to experience Asia. The culture was cool to be a part of and their food was so good. I can’t wait to go back again. I also loved all their landscapes and old town. Overall I really Liked Vietnam. You should definitely add this to your bucket list.
