When we first got to nelson it was like 11:30 at night. I was so tired that I didn’t even look what our place looked like I just went to bed and slept to about 9:00 in the morning. ( Which is quite good for me cause I wake up at 6:00 in the morning usually.) My bed was not that comfortable but it was a pull out so I expected that from it. The next day we went to go explore the town we went to the market they had and we went to go get groceries. The town was pretty nice but it was so busy at the grocery store because it was a Saturday. After all that stuff we went to go on this hike that was on an island called rabbit island. The one thing that was weird was there was no rabbits no the island. It was aa short hike when I mean short like 15 minutes short. After that stuff I had to do math the whole rest of the day. The next day was a big day because it was a four hour Abel Tasman hike. Which was 15km long. We had to take a boat to get there because it was an island. The first hour and a half was a piece of cake but on two and a half to hour-three I want to get this hike done with. When we got to a place that look identical to the place we were looking for it wasn’t. And my heart was broken. When I heard that we had t take a 2km detour I was not happy at that moment then I realised it was the part I was looking forward to, I was so happy. I was so happy because it was a man made water slide. I did the water slide first and then my dad was going to do it but when I went down I didn’t look that grace full. And there was only one down side of the water slide was the water was flipping cold mate. Like it was the water at Katepwa lake cold in April. When we were do the hike we had to do another thirty minute boat ride back to the main island. And then another thirty minute car ride back. For the next few days my legs were quite sore and did math which was quite boring. With out a doubt I will come back and do the Abel Tasman hike.
