2024 Paris Olympics

Hard to believe, but we got tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics! A few months back I realized our Euro-vacation would wrap around the 2024 Paris Olympics happening on July 26th-August 11th. So, I submitted my name in the draw to have a chance at purchasing tickets and I was shocked to be selected when I received a congratulations email a few months later. I woke at 2 am (10 am Paris time) the other day and logged in to grab the very small percentage of tickets I could afford. Since we are trying to avoid Paris for the most part (craziness and crazy expense during the Olympics), we only end up in the City of Love near the last few days of the competition. Either way, I secured tickets to the semi-final of women’s volleyball, gold medal in men’s football and entrance into the La Concorde, a large public square where BMXing, 3×3 Basketball, Breaking along many other urban sports are taking place (image of venue above). We are beyond pumped and even though we didn’t get all we wanted (Stade de France, Athletics or Beach volleyball at the base of the Eiffel Tower = $250-$1100 EURO/ ticket), we think just being in the Olympic environment will be amazing!
