Dublin, Ireland was pretty good. We stayed there for 5 days. We got there on the 26th and left on the 30th. The first it was more of a chill day. we got in around 11:30 am, the flight was pretty long but went by fast. I slept the majority of the plane since it was a “Red eye”. We got food on the plane and we also had a little TV screen to watch stuff. Once we arrived in Dublin we took a Taxi to our “Airbnb”. When we got to the Airbnb it was about 12:30 pm. The Airbnb was scary cause it was really old, but it was in a pretty good area. We were pretty tired when we got to our apartment only because it was about a 7-hour difference. So we rested a bit before we walked to check out the area. It was a quiet area but it was cool seeing old houses. We walked to the grocery store to pick up some groceries so we could eat for the week. we didn’t do much that day cause it was a travel day so we slept, played a quick game, and chilled for the rest of the night. that night we didn’t sleep at all we were up all night and tired, and it was quite hard to adjust to the different time zones.
The next day, we had a great day exploring and learning the history of Dublin. We didn’t wake up until noon so we had to change our plans a bit. We went to a castle. The castle was ancient and had a lot of cool interesting facts. there was a lot of nudity in the portraits. After the castle, we went to get some food. kinnon got McDonald’s (he said it was good). then we went to a Pub. My dad got a beer and I got an iced latte, it was delicious. After I got a Nutella crepe, it was so delicious. On our way to an old church, I got lost and couldn’t find anybody. I freaked out! eventually, I found them. We went to the church for mass. It was an Anglican church, which I’ve never been to. It was pretty creepy we sat beside a dead body that died in 1176, it was super creepy. Then I had to go to the washroom. We had to go down to the crypt. It was full of dead people and we were by ourselves which was so scary. Anyway, we took a double-deck bus back to the apartment that was a day in Ireland.
the day after we went to Trinity College. It was nice. The college was very big. Then after Trinity College, we walked to the Guinness factory. The way we went was super sketchy, it felt like we were in a horror story, I do not recommend that route. When we got to the factory it was cool, it was very aesthetic. The food was ok. Then we went up to the gravity bar it was so cool. you are only on glass. I could see lots of stuff even the stadium Taylor Swift was performing at later that night. Guinness factory had a performance and that was some Irish tap dancers. they were excellent.
The next day, we really didn’t do much we tried to get Taylor Swift tickets but we got scammed. I mostly chilled the whole day. I was pretty exhausted from the busy week. we did play a lot of games that day too.
Ireland was pretty good! There was a lot of history and elegance in some parts of the city. It was pretty cold and rainy the whole week. I liked Dublin, Ireland as our first stop. On to Northern Ireland.
