Edinburgh: Arthur’s Seat

July 9, 2024

Edinburgh was quite good. it is probably not my favourite so far but it was good. Our Airbnb was cool/weird. Every room had its own different room. The living room was in a different area than the kitchen, they all had a door. The Airbnb was my favourite so far because they have so many locks. I love that because I feel way more safer.  The one thing I didn’t like was my bed was right beside the front door. (SCARY)

On the second day, we went on a hike called Arthurs Seek, it was fun/terrifying. On the way up there we went on the purple path. ( The hardest one) I got up there the fastest but I was the most scared too. I forgot to tell you that the plane ride there was only  40 MINUTES. Crazy right? On that hike, I got 9,000 steps and the whole day I got 17,000 steps. Then after the hike, we walked down the side streets. We saw this restaurant that we thought was cool so we went in. Me, my mom, and my sister all shared fries. And my dad had his own BIG BOY MEAL. Then after I was still quite hungry so we went to this bakery. Me and my sister got a yum yum and a brownie. ( A yum yum is like a honey cruller but rolled in a long strip.) After that day I was so tired.

On the third day, we looked at all the little stores again. I realized that Scotland rains all the time. If you went there without a rain jacket you would die. ( No need to thank me for the tip.) Everywhere we go we will be taking a bus. Anyway. On the day we went to Scott’s monument. It was quite cool/really tall. Then when we looked up we saw Edinburgh Castle. We thought it was free but it wasn’t . You had to buy a ticket to get in. So we never got to go in it but we saw it. So it’s marked off my list. On that day I got a patch for my backpack and I got a mood necklace. ( But it is not accurate.)

Without a doubt, Scottland might be might favourite of the whole trip.
