Our first country is in the books: Dublin, Ireland.
Our first impression of Dublin was during our taxi ride to our Airbnb, I asked the taxi driver, “what’s the top thing we should do here in Dublin during our stay?” Without hesitation, he replied, “Get PISSED!”
It was an interesting city but 4 nights was enough. Old, historic, broken down and fuelled by beer. If Brittany ever left me, you’d find me in Dublin drinking and smoking away my sorrows, cursing at God above, finding my way into tricky situations and repenting my sins the following day at the surrounding Cathedrals.
Pubs everywhere you look and great times to be had: live music, sing-along tunes, dancing and a pleasant atmosphere. Not a ton of kids…definitely would be a time with the boys but even than, how many nights would you want to drink, smoke, rinse and repeat?
Bar none, my favourite spot was the Guinness Storefront! We spend nearly 4 hours touring, eating and drinking. The Guinness was definitely frothy and creamy but I heard it was next level better than the Guinness at home which I was only slightly agree too.
“Grand” was a word we often heard meaning, “no problem, ok, that’s fine.” Also, the appliances were munchkin size, a bar fridge was their main cooler in the kitchen. And lastly, Dubin can only build 8 stories high, thus you can see the entire City from elevation points. Kinda cool and odd (coming from Caanda) at the same time.
