When we got to Whangārei Heads, we were greeted by the host who lives on top of our Airbnb. My sister and I have bunk beds, and my parents have king-size beds. We stayed there for a week, so it was a nice place to stay, and I was right on the water where the beach was. My dad and I are trying to go to the ocean every day for a month, and we are doing it here because it is in the Pacific Ocean, which is warmer than the Abel Tasman Sea. Anyway, let’s get back to the first day in Whangārei Heads. When we were looking at the ocean, we saw I was going farther away from the beach. I thought a tsunami was going to happen. But when we talked to some locals, they said, “It is usual for that to happen, and the water will be back up at the beach first thing in the morning.” That relieved stress off of me, and I felt way better. For many of the days we were here, we went to the beach a lot and swam. We went to this beach that I liked a lot, which had some good boogie boarding waves. But the downside was that I didn’t have a boogie board, but I thought I changed when I heard my dad say, “Kinnon, do you want a boogie board?” I said yes in a heartbeat, and then my mom said There might be a boogie board at our next place.” I got sad, but I looked past it and just enjoyed the day. After the beach days, we went on this massive walk, which was only 1 one-hour round trip, but it felt like a 5-hour able taman hike. It felt like because it was all uphill and stairs, which are my enemies. The view was really amazing when you got to the top, but it was so hard to get up there. A day after that we went golfing and it was so cheap it was only 10$ for a child and 15$ for an adult. The golf course was not great, but for that price, it was good. That was Whangārei heads for you guys. BYE!!
